The term typically refers to the technical structures that support a society, such as roads, water supply, sewers, power grids, telecommunications, and so forth. Viewed functionally, infrastructure facilitates the production of goods and services; for example, roads enable the transport of raw materials to a factory, and also for the distribution of finished products to markets. In some contexts, the term may also include basic social services such as schools and hospitals. I'm considering purchasing a fairly large, undeveloped plot of land (around 16 acres) in San Diego county to build my own house. How much would it cost to put in the infrastructure for it? (e.g. electric, water, gas, sewage, paved roads) I'm just looking for VERY approximated guesses. If someone were to tell me $1000, $10,000, or $100,000, I wouldn't be able to say which were closest to reality. Also, what kind of time frame would we be looking at? Thanks in advance. P.S.
